A new CNN poll shows that most Americans do not want federal dollars to be used to pay for abortions. The survey indicated that six in ten Americans support a ban on federal funding of abortion. A majority also believes that women should pay for abortions out of their own pockets, even if they have private health insurance. Therefore, if the Senate is going to carry out the will of the people, it must include a ban on federal funding of abortion in its health care plan. Please call Senators Casey and Specter and urge them to oppose any health care reform bill that does not specifically exclude abortion. Countless preborn babies and their mothers are counting on you!
